Mandala
09.20.05 (10:22 am)   [edit]

I am fascinated by an art form I discovered - Mandalas. They fascinate me and draw me into them.

Mandala is a Sanskrit word meaning "circle". Mandala is the symbol of the Universe and its energy. Mandalas are created to inspire and heal the soul. Mandalas are powerful. They are used for prayers and meditations.

Kim Aronson is a brilliant artist whom I discovered during my research on the internet.

Here is a Mandala that he created which I could relate to:Kim Aronson's Mandala

Devotion...
09.16.05 (10:21 am)   [edit]

She existed only to please him. The eternal Goddess of Love, Radharani. Her soul was immersed in him. Her only duty in life was to love her God, Krishna. In his sweet remembrace, she loses her own self and identification and is unified in him. September 11-Radha Ashtami.

Radha, the supreme Goddess of love and devotion. My inspiration.

Dying Alive..
09.15.05 (12:02 pm)   [edit]

Manohar is a relative of mine. He has AIDS. Two years before, when I knew this, I tried to help him but he didn't like others knowing that he is HIV positive. Saraswati, his wife was a girl from village. Very innocent and a pure soul. She too got infected from him. Still, she didn't leave him. They had no children.

Together, they went to Chennai Tambaram hospital for treatment, when that didn't work,  tried alternative medicines but were only getting very weak. Mahonar developed ulcers. Saraswati had severe problems with her skin, developed ulcers, had a tumor and was already a thyroid patient.

Last friday, they finally contacted me and I was very happy to connect them to the caring souls I know in the NGO field. The couple expressed their happiness after their visit. Saraswati was diagnosed with jaundice and admitted in the CMC hospital, Coimbatore on monday.

Last night, she died in hospital.

I am in shock and grief and my heart is bleeding..Such a beautiful creation punished for none of her fault. Today she will be cremated. Mahonar will be performing her last rites. I can imagine the hell and horror he is going through...  How bitter destiny had turned against them. Such deep sorrow... He is next in line.

Knowing this... Dying alive... Manohar, I will pray for your peace dear one.

Swamis and Sages of the Newage...
09.07.05 (8:38 am)   [edit]

They start as simple human beings blessing the simple poor souls of the world. When their simplicity and healing power is widespread, they become the puppets of the materialistic devotees who fall at their feet.

They build empires. Open Universities. Run successful spiritual businesses. They become accessible only to the rich and the famous. The rare Darshans for the poor and the simple  souls are now only once in a bluemoon.

They are the perfect icons of Materialism. They are the newage Swamis and Sages.

Glimpses of childhood...
09.07.05 (8:25 am)   [edit]
I was 10 years old studying in St.Joseph's Public School at kodaikanal. Everynight, after the prayer I go to sleep after some thoughts about the day. I missed my parents so much then. That night after the prayer, I was lying on the bed in dark. Suddenly, from the dark emerged a dove, snow white and with light. It was just 2 meters away from me. Moving and flying slowly infront of me. Where did it come from? It emerged from itself. It was an angel.
