Changing the mindsets of Kerala Youth on Gender identities..
09.18.08 (2:29 pm)   [edit]
I wish to visit the Universities, Colleges and Corporates in Kerala for giving lectures and workshops on Transgender issues. So far I have received only one invitation from a college.

It is time Kerala sheds off its inhibitions on sexualities and relieves its youth from sexual and gender misconceptions. Is the state ready or will they still remain conservatives for another 50 years?

I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THE ABOVE COMMENT. IF U ARE READY COME HERE IN KERALA YOU CAN SEE PEOPLE WITH FEMALE CHARECTORS LIVING PROUDLY AMONG THE SOCIETY.
HERE WE HAVE SUCH A PEOPLE ALMOST OF THEM WRER REATED WITH DANCE AND MOST OF THEM WERE PROFESSIONALLY DANCERS.THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM IN THE SOCIETY TO LIVE AS MAN WITH WOMEN INSIDE THEM. PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED THEM FOR THAT,EVEN FOR THEIR SEXUAL DESIRES.THEY HAVE TWO DAYS HERE IN KOLLAM FOR COMPLEETING THEIR DESIRES. THERE THEY CAN LIVE AS GIRLS IN DRESS MIND AND ALL FOR TWO DAYS. THEY WERE FULLY SATISFIED WITH THAT. NOONE FROM KERALA WILL GET READY TO TRANSGENDER,COZ NOW THEY HAVE THE FUUL FREEDOM HERE.

I do agree with the comment posted! Kerala, will remain the same conservative community for another 50 years!!! ;) You cannot find any other closed society with no transgenders! In fact there are transgender people in Kerala too, but they are ostracized and thrown out of the state itself!
