Where have Kerala's Hijras gone? - Article in The Hindu
10.12.08 (1:31 pm)   [edit]
Sudhir, a friend of mine who is in the media sent me a thought provoking article that was published in The Hindu yesterday. It is about the state of Transgenders in Kerala.

Life is definitely difficult for the transwomen there and many of them have fled from the state. Read it here : Where have Kerala's Hijras gone?

http://www.hindu.com/2008/10/11/stories/20 08101155051300.htm" title="http://www.hindu.com/2008/10/11/stories/20 08101155051300.htm" target="_blank"http://www.hindu.com/2008/10/...

This month I will be starting my campaign for social justice for Transwomen in Kerala.

P.Surendran, writer, has done some work in this direction. Also Dilip Raj. You can get them via DC Books or the guy who interviewed for Manorama.
